London - riotous and perplexing but a marvellous place to reside in or investigate and with a publication like Time Out to aid one along and help you uncover the best pieces, what more could someone want?

The city is abounding with the crème de la crème of everything – you will discover superb bars, tremendous clubbing and eateries that will keep you returning for more every time. London is far and wide considered to be one of the “gay” centres of the world and is home to the biggest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GBLT) community in Europe.

Thanks to the yearly ‘Soho Pride’, ‘Pride London’ & London’s Gay and Lesbian Film Festival – and doubtless several of the most amazing gay club nights you’ll find anywhere – there’s something to entertain you all year round.

Many of the finest bars right in the centre of London can be found in the celebrated gay area known as Soho. Soho is cool because everywhere is within walking distance, it never sleeps and you will consistently see bars open to keep you entertained until sunrise. ‘Profile’, a great small bar off Old Compton Street (London’s ‘Gay’ street), is renowned for its incredible cocktails and atmosphere. There’s also ‘Friendly Society’ which is as genial as its name alludes to, their drinks can be somewhat on the expensive side but it can be a stunning experience - there is a superb bunch of people and the DJs are sensational.

More acclaimed bars are Green Carnation, Bar Code, Freedom, The Edge, G-A-Y Bar, Village, Ku Bar, Candy Bar, The Yard and the more traditional Compton’s and Admiral Duncan, to name a few. Get info about London from Time Out magazine.

A few of the greatest nights are the most renowned clubs. People couldn’t possibly enjoy their night out in London if they are visiting without dropping in to G-A-Y, regularly described as the quintessential camp Mecca. Phenomenal music, fabulous individuals and low cost drinks, - one hotspot for every gay in the city to scout out! You also have Heaven, located just off the Strand. This is a bit more pricey but comes with an amazing atmosphere and has enough areas to indulge every fancy in melodies.

More spots include Soho Revue Bar & Shadow Lounge. The up and coming arena for the more serious revellers is a little farther away in Vauxhall. A lot of great late-night / early hours locations and bars include Area, Crash, Barcode Vauxhall and Fire as well as special nights at Club Coliseum and the celebrated Vauxhall Tavern.

For extra information on the places to go and visit the web site of Time Out. Time Out will ensure you stay informed of everything that is going on in London’s Gay & Lesbian arena in ‘07.
